Health and Human Performance: Public Health Concentration (5219), B.S.H.H.P.


Students selecting this concentration will explore the concepts of population health and the basic processes, approaches and interventions that identify and address the major health-related needs and concerns of populations. This concentration is ideal for students with career interests in public health, disease prevention and health promotion, clinical health care delivery and health care administration.

Curricular Requirements


The student must complete the following minimal requirements and earn a grade of C or better in all courses taken in the department.

University General Education Core (38-39 Hours)


*General Education requirements are met if the student transfers associate degree credits from an articulated institution. For students who have not completed an associate’s degree or who are transferring from an institution where there is no articulation agreement, courses will be assessed individually. A single course may not be used in multiple categories.

Public Health Concentration Optional Electives (28 Hours)


No more than 12 hours can be selected from any one area outside the Department of Health & Human Performance.
