Return to {$returnto_text} Return to: Programs (A-Z)

The goal of the marketing curriculum (4620) is to provide students the skills and knowledge to create, communicate, deliver, and exchange offerings that are valued by customers and other stakeholders.

Marketing majors may pursue careers in advertising and promotions management, professional sales, marketing research, retail management, product development and brand management, fundraising, and strategic marketing management. Through a variety of electives, such as event planning and corporate promotions, social media and digital marketing, and services marketing, majors can choose between two concentrations and can customize their curriculum to uniquely position themselves for the job market or business ownership, or design their degree toward their own unique areas of interest.

The focus on communication, interpersonal skills, technology, and research methods also makes the marketing degree excellent preparation for graduate work in law, business, and other disciplines.
