Licensure K-12 Concentration (5213)


The K-12 Licensure program is CAEP and State Board approved offering both a Physical Education and Health and Wellness endorsement. Students engage with faculty in community service, research, attend and present at local and national conferences. Students participate in a variety of field-based teaching experiences prior to a culminating semester of student teaching. Our unique program is an ideal fit for students who value health-enhancing physical activity, physical literacy, and sports. Highly qualified and professional graduating students are licensed to teach K-12 Physical Education, and Health and Wellness. Students interested in coaching are also invited to pursue this concentration. Curricular Requirements


The student must complete the following minimal requirements and earn a grade of C or better in all courses taken in the department.

Prior to selecting HHP K-12 as a concentration, the student must be admitted to the Educator Preparation Program. These requirements are: ACT 22, G.P.A. 2.75, successfully pass an interview and background check.
