Exercise Science and Wellness Concentration (5216)

This concentration provides a strong foundation for graduate study and careers in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Chiropractic, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Physicians Assistant as well as many other health-related professions. This concentration is also ideal for Students interested in pursuing bachelors level careers in Corporate Wellness or Strength and Conditioning Coaching

Curricular Requirements
The student must complete the following minimal requirements and earn a grade of C or better in all courses taken in the department and in
University General Education Core (38-40 Hours)
Additional HHP Electives (39 Hours)
Choose 39 hours from the following list of courses. Hours can be taken in any combination. No more than 12 hours from any one area:
Athletic Training; Biochemistry; Biology; Chemistry; Child and Family Studies; Computer Science 201; Exercise Science; Gerontology; Health and Human Performance; Health; Human Performance; Health and Physical Education; Mathematics; Microbiology; Military Science & Leadership; Neuroscience; Nursing; Nutrition; Philosophy; Physical Activity (max 4-hr); Physics; Psychology; Sociology; Zoology
Unrestricted electives: up to 9 elective hours from courses not listed above will be accepted towards the 39 hours of electives.
