An introductory course dealing with the functions and effects of the immune system. Emphasis on innate and adaptive immunity, humoral and cellular immunity, hypersensitivities, autoimmunity, and immunodeficiency. Three one-hour lectures.

Prerequisite(s): BIOL 336 or BIOL 337 or MBIO 251 or MBIO 310 or ZOOL 352 with grade of C or better or instructor’s permission.
