ECED 460 - Learning: Birth Through Age Eight Years

Exploration and knowledge of the learning process in the context of parent-child, teacher-student and school-family-child relationships are the emphases of this course. Cultural diversity and implications of diversity for children birth through eight years are addressed. Developmentally appropriate curriculum, differentiation, instructional material, environments for learning and community resource utilization are integral components of the course. There are 15 clock hours of clinical field experiences, directed observations and limited participation in educational settings. Must make a C or better.  

 

Prerequisite(s): Admission to Educator Preparation Program (EPP) and TCED 302  or permission of instructor.
