An examination of renal anatomy, physiology, and function as well as conditions and causes of chronic and end-stage renal failure; management of conditions through medical nutrition therapy using the Nutrition Care Process from the standpoint of the registered dietitian/nutritionist.

Prerequisite(s): Admission to the Dietetics Concentration in Family and Consumer Sciences or permission of instructor.
