CJ 404 - Race, Ethnicity, and Criminal Justice

This course explores the relationships between the criminal justice system and racial and ethnic minorities in the United States. Students will critically examine the literature connecting race and ethnicity to society, the law, crime, and the criminal justice system. A variety of different topics will be covered including theories, public opinions, racial and ethnic disparities in the criminal justice system, and criminal justice reform.
