Technical writing is widely used in career paths, including computer science, robotics, bioengineering, and agriculture. The intent of this class is to prepare students majoring in one of the applied sciences for the type of technical writing that they will be exposed to within their specific career. Students engage in conveying technical information in a clear, concise, and coherent manner to a variety of audiences. Exercises are taught through a variety of genres such as risk analysis reports; instructional memos; design/use/analysis reports; and technical reports.
