Veterinary Science Concentration (1141)


The Veterinary Science concentration is designed for students who wish to receive a Bachelor of Science degree and meet the requirements for entrance into many veterinary and professional schools, and specifically, The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. Students also meet the requirements to apply to many pharmacy and medical schools following completion of this concentration.

Chemistry Requirements (12 hours)


Veterinary Science 300-level (5 hours)


Choose 3 hours from


upper-division Animal Science, upper-division Veterinary Health Technology, or AGEC 405  

Science Elective


Choose 8 hours: Upper-division Agricultural Economics, Animal Science, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Fellows Research Program, Mathematics, Microbiology, Plant Science, Veterinary Health Technology, Wildlife Biology, Zoology.

Note: Taking ACCT 201  and AGEC 405  plus 9 hours of upper-division Agricultural Economics courses add a minor in Agricultural Business.
