Neuroscience Minor (5890) (Psychology)

Minor Requirements


The minor in Neuroscience (5890) consists of at least 18 credit hours of the following courses:

  • NEUR 200
  • NEUR 480

Basic Neuroscience (Biological, Chemical, Physical) Courses


Three hours Basic Neuroscience (biological, chemical, physical) courses selected from

Applied Neuroscience (Cognitive, Behavioral, Functional) Courses


Three hours Applied Neuroscience (cognitive, behavioral, functional) courses selected from

Minimum of Eight Additional Hours


A minimum of eight additional hours from the Basic Neuroscience and Applied Neuroscience courses above or NEUR electives. The courses in the last section must be selected from at least three different disciplines. A grade of C or better is required for all minor courses. No more than two courses can be counted for the major, concentration, and the minor.
