BIOL 393 - Internship in Biological Science

Application of biological principles and skills in a supervised workplace environment. Student may or may not be paid. Evaluation by both supervising instructor and on-the-job supervisor. Cannot be counted toward upper-division hours required for a biology minor. 1 hour credit corresponds to a minimum of 100 hours in the field; 2 credits to a minimum of 200 hours, and 3 credits to a minimum of 300 hours in the field. This course may be repeated for a maximum of 3 credit hours total. Students may engage in the internship activity in the Summer and enroll in BIOL 393 for credit the following Fall semester. Credit for BIOL 393 may not be claimed if academic credit is awarded for at another institution.

Prerequisite(s): BIOL 130, BIOL 140 with grades of C or better.
