An introduction to descriptive and inferential statistics. Topics include basic probability, measures of central tendency and variability, graphical representations of data, correlation and linear regression, random variables and probability distributions, sampling distributions, tests of hypotheses about means and proportions for one and two populations, confidence interval estimation of parameters, and utilization of statistical software.

Prerequisite(s): MATH 100-MATH 110, or MATH 130, or MATH 140, or MATH 170, or MATH 185, or MATH 251 or appropriate mathematics placement.
