The Certificate in Vocal Music Performance is intended as structured additional study for the Bachelor of Arts in Music and Vocal Music Education majors. The certificate provides advanced performance skills in applied lessons, ensembles, and recitals, equipping students with a higher level of musicianship and musicality that will lead them to greater success in the global music industry. Students will study vocal production, performance technique, standard vocal literature, and foreign languages(s), take part in an opera production, and give a full-length voice recital.
Guidelines for Admission
1) The student must audition at the same level of a music performance major.
2) The student must earn B grades or better in all applied lessons.
