ECON 315 - Research Methods in Economics

This course covers the fundamental principles of conducting and reporting economic research, both written and orally. This will equip students with the skills to formulate research questions; design appropriate studies; collect, describe and report on data; and interpret findings in a way that can be understood by multiple audience types. Core topics include research design, literature review and reading skills development, data collection (methods and issues), statistical analysis, economic theory, research paper writing, presentation development, oral presentation delivery, ethical considerations, and software training.
