MUAP 152 - Double Reed

Study of technique and repertoire appropriate to the instrument or voice. Students will receive 1 hour of private instruction per week and are expected to practice at least twenty hours per week. This course fulfills degree requirements for music performance and pedagogy lessons, as well as certain music certificates. Students may complete a maximum of six semesters of lower-division study. Bachelor of Music majors who have not successfully advanced to the upper-division level after six semesters in the lower division of their major applied voice or instrument will not be allowed to continue in the BM major and are encouraged to consult with their advisor to determine whether the Bachelor of Arts in Music program more appropriately meets their career goals and aspirations. May be repeated for credit. Applied music fee required. 
 
Prerequisites: entrance audition and acceptance into the music education or B.A.M. program
