This sequence is primarily for students majoring in sciences, math, or engineering. Topics include: atomic theory, atomic structure, chemical nomenclature, stoichiometry, aqueous reactions, gases, thermochemistry, periodic properties, bonding, intermolecular forces, molecular geometry and orbital hybridization.

Prerequisite(s): MATH 110 or MATH 140 or a higher numbered mathematics course, or placement in MATH 251 or (ACT Math ≥ 24 and coreq: MATH 140, MATH 160, MATH 170, or MATH 185).
