An examination of the selection and historical development of literature for children and adolescents. Candidates will identify how to foster a positive climate that supports a literacy-rich learning environment. Candidates will develop the ability to critically evaluate literature for children and adolescents using quantitative and qualitative measures, and reader and task considerations to analyze text complexity.
