Bibliographic description and subject analysis theories and practices will be examined. Description, organization, and access of both print and electronic information will be investigated, including use of Resource Description and Access (RDA) standards, Anglo-American Cataloging Rules, Dewey Decimal Classification, Library of Congress Classification, and Library of Congress Subject Headings.

Prerequisite(s): LIBS 725  or consent of instructor.
