This course is designed to introduce students to current trends and issues in higher education with an emphasis on the field of Student Affairs and College Counseling including its history, development, and philosophies. A thorough overview of the profession is presented to provide students with knowledge and skills typically required for pursuing a career in a wide range of student services settings.

Prerequisite(s): admission to the graduate counseling program or consent of instructor.
